Spark!

The Spark Conference is something I look forward to every year.  It’s an example of what happens when churches network together.  Years ago, a children’s ministry network started in Southeastern Wisconsin – led by Elmbrook Church in Brookfield, WI.  Faithfully a group of children’s and family leaders met, discussing topics from teamwork to pastoral care to creative ministry ideas.  Knowing that many churches simply do not have the budget to send an entire team to an expensive conference out of state, the network decided to take matters into their hands and build an inexpensive conference loaded with content from people within the field.  The speakers are passionate and the conference has grown in years past.

This year the conference took a new direction and a new name: Spark.  Spark – Creativity is this year’s theme and Thom and Joani Schultz of Group will be the keynote speakers.  I get the chance to present two workshops on Creativity in Large Group Environments, highlighting the resources and tools that make KidsWorld an awesome place for kids to meet Jesus and become more like Him.  I look forward to seeing you there!
